Major setback to Congress in Bhaderwah, 'Several hardcore party workers joined PDP' | KNO

BHADERWAH,JAN 26  (KNO) : In major setback to Congress in Bhaderwah Constituency, several of his party workers including hardcore workers today joined PDP at Thanala village in presence of PDP general secretray Sheikh Mehboob Iqbal here today .The newly entrants while reposing full faith in the leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti , party leaders Sartaj Madanai and Sheikh Mehboob Iqbal and pledged that they will take the party programmes and policies among the people.While welcoming the newly joined Congress workers hailing from panchayat Thanala village, and adjoining areas Sheikh Mehboob Iqbal appreciated the hard work of PDP workers for reaching upto the people and changing the mindset of people, especially in Bhaderwah area with his hard work and developmental agenda.Sheikh Mehboob Iqbal said that “Regularization of around sixty thousand poor daily wagers is a historic decision which will give a major relief to the poor workers and also alleviates financial sufferings of their families.”“No government would have taken such a better decision for poor’s and in past the people have witnessed only hollow promises of the previous regimes,” Said Sheikh . He also claimed that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had approved link road to Thanala village via Bheja in a public outreach at Doda and soon construction work will commence . He lashed out at Congress for exploiting the people of Thanala area for 20 years and said Congress only used rural people as their vote bank and work for a particular area . District president PDP Doda Sajid Mir , Zonal general secretary Bhaderwah Irshad Ahmed Laway , Sartaj Ahmed Sheikh , Shakoor Ahmed ,Betab Ahmed , Pardeep Dutt ,Rizvi Metha , Sajid Bhatt and other were also present on the occasion .(KNO)
